Social Supports
At Friends Rehabilitation Program, we understand that having a place to live is the first step towards achieving stability. But its just a first step. That’s why we offer a comprehensive set of social services to help our residents. We care for a variety of individual needs including health care coordination, employment counseling, and education.

Transitional Housing Program for the Homeless
We work to help transition formerly homeless families to self-sufficiency while they live in our subsidized apartments. The Transitional Housing Program (THP) provides an array of services that helps residents achieve self-sufficiency: From getting a GED to resume writing, from financial literacy classes to starting a savings account, our clients enrolled in THP are given the tools necessary to help them be successful.
Seniors
FRP works to enable seniors to live independently within a caring community. Our buildings have handicapped accessible apartments and provide on-site security. We coordinate health services, provide a food pantry and hold regular social events. Our residents are able to actively engage with the surrounding community: Many are active gardeners in our community garden and communicate with friends and family at our computer lab.
Special Needs
FRP supports people with special needs: those living with HIV, individuals with physical and mental disabilities, and women who are homeless as a result of abuse. With each need, we match appropriate social services, including health care coordination and mental health counseling, and work to achieve life-stability and personal growth.
